Sun Salutations (Surya Namaskar) where you flow from one posture to the next with the breath, are practiced in many yoga classes, however we rarely ever get a chance to slow down and look at each posture individually. In this workshop, we will break down the sun salutation and explore each posture in depth looking at proper alignment to gain a deeper understanding of each movement to encourage safety, stability and grace in your practice.
We will practice tadasana, uttanasana, ardha uttanasana, plank, chaturunga dandasana, cobra, upward facing dog, downward facing dog, jumping forward and jumping back to help create a strong foundation of the basics that will continue to support your practice. Whether you are a seasoned practitioner or brand new to yoga, this workshop is for you! You will leave with a strong understanding of each posture, allowing you to find comfort and sustainability in your practice.
